I make custom lens boards in all shapes and sizes, including those for; Gandolfi, Deardorff, Kodak, Watson, Century, Sanderson, Thornton Pickard, Lancaster, Ross, cameras to name but a few. I also hold a stock of lens boards in popular sizes including; Deardorff 6x6”, Gandolfi 5.5x6.5”, Century 9x9”, etc.
Construction: My lens boards, like my other mahogany parts, are made using traditional construction techniques, materials (mahogany), and finishes (shellac - French polish by hand).
Cost: The current cost for a set of three identical lens boards up to 7x7” (180x180mm) is £300. This price includes hole cutting to your desired diameter(s) or Copal size(s). Larger boards are also possible.
Procedure: I can measure an original lens board if you would like to post it to me. Alternatively I can work from caliper measurements of the lens board or camera opening. Send me an enquiry using this button:
